Dental Nurse Training Programmes

Apprenticeship, Technical Qualification, Class-based, Blended or Online learning, there are many options available to your newly appointed Trainee.

From 1 June 2026, all new trainee dental nurses must start a recognised training programme within 12 months of starting work.  

Trainee dental nurses who are already in work when the new rules take effect, but have not yet started their training, will have the following transitional requirements: 

Trainee dental nurses who started or will start work between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026 must start training by 1 June 2027 even if their original two-year deadline would have been later.

Once the award or qualification has been gained, registration should be sought and achieved promptly. More details of this can be found at the bottom of this page.

Dental Nurse Apprenticeship at Training 2000

If your dental practice is looking to recruit new Dental Nurses, Training 2000’s Level 3 Dental Nursing Apprenticeship will provide your employees the skills and knowledge to become an integral member of your team. Training 2000’s Level 3 Dental Nursing Apprenticeship will teach your staff how to work in the clinical environment in a safe and efficient manner and to understand legislation, policy and procedures related to their role as a dental nurse.

Training 2000 was established in 1966 and has been delivered dental nurse training for over 40 years. In recent years, Training 2000 became part of the University of Lancashire meaning that our apprentices have a progression pathway to higher level study.
